Savoyard cable-transport specialist MND is expanding into Africa and the Indian Ocean region by opening an office in Casablanca, as it seeks to capitalize on the growing momentum behind urban cable mobility. The company says the new base will help it develop these markets more directly and position itself for its first two contracts in 2027.
MND sees significant long-term potential in the region: within five to 10 years, Africa and the Indian Ocean could account for around 20% of its revenue. The move reflects the company’s broader strategy to ride the rise of cable-based urban transport, which is increasingly being considered by cities looking for efficient mobility solutions.
