Würth Elektronik has officially inaugurated the second phase of its Asia Quality Design Center (QDC Asia) in Shenzhen, China. The expansion adds 352 square meters to the facility, enabling a 170% increase in environmental testing throughput. The opening ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting event.
The QDC Asia facility is part of the German group’s global quality assurance network. The expanded lab will support accelerated environmental testing for electronic components, including temperature, humidity, and vibration tests. This upgrade strengthens Würth Elektronik’s ability to validate product reliability and performance for customers in Asia and worldwide.
The investment reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining high quality standards and supporting regional demand for faster, more comprehensive testing services. The Shenzhen lab now plays a larger role in the group’s global quality infrastructure, complementing facilities in Europe and North America.
