The sixth CADFEM Conference will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Institut Lumière in Lyon, France. Billed as the largest national gathering of Ansys users, the event brings together experts and thought leaders to explore trends, technologies, and innovations in simulation and digital engineering.

This year’s Lyon edition spotlights five specialized tracks:

• Structures
• Fluid mechanics and thermal management
• Automation, process integration, and design optimization
• Safe systems, digital twins, multiphysics, and system simulation
• Simulation and AI in engineering: integration, data, and added value

The agenda opens at 9:30 with a welcome coffee, followed by CADFEM’s Yvain Ballini and Matthias Alberts at 10:00. The morning features a talk on the digital industry’s evolution from predesign to deployment by CADFEM’s Damien Cabut and Benoit Fontenier; a presentation from Cegelec CEM’s Thomas Schneider on an assistance tool for verifying finite element models in Ansys Mechanical; and a roundtable on automating and customizing workflows with Python, featuring Stilog’s Victor de Castro, Newcleo’s Lucien Charroyer, and CADFEM’s Tristan Boutin. A networking lunch follows at noon.

Afternoon sessions resume with Imerys’ François Muller comparing combustion models in Fluent for industrial furnace simulation; Gerflor’s Clément Mostkowy on capitalizing and utilizing lab analyses and material simulation data via GRANTA MI; and Aura Aero’s Rémi Magnon addressing the hybridization paradox using high-fidelity simulation for the ERA design. A networking break at 15:00 precedes INOCEL’s Cédric Septet discussing ATEX risk management for a containerized fuel cell system with Ansys Fluent, and TEMISTh’s Jean-Michel Hugo on next-generation 3D-printed heat exchangers for supercritical fluids. The day closes at 17:30 with a friendly drink and the CADFEM trophy award, ending at 18:30.
