French battery manufacturer Verkor is entering the final phase before mass production at its Dunkirk gigafactory, marking a major milestone in its industrial scale-up. Concurrently, the company is strengthening its governance with the appointment of Jacques Esculier as chairman of its supervisory board.

The completion of factory setup and process validation paves the way for the start of series production. This advancement follows significant preparatory work, including equipment installation, production line calibration, and initial pilot runs to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.

Jacques Esculier, former CEO of major industrial groups, brings extensive experience in global manufacturing and supply chain management to Verkor's board. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to steer the company through its critical ramp-up phase and future expansion.
