Hexa, the French startup studio behind companies like Brigad and AQEMIA, has entered into a strategic partnership with OpenAI. The collaboration aims to deeply integrate OpenAI's models, including GPT-4, across Hexa's entire portfolio and its internal operations to accelerate venture building.
The partnership is structured around three core pillars. First, Hexa will leverage OpenAI's technology to enhance the development speed and capabilities of its incubated startups, embedding AI at their core from inception. Second, it will implement AI tools across its own internal processes for tasks like data analysis and decision-making. Finally, the alliance includes a joint commitment to educate and train Hexa's community of entrepreneurs on effectively utilizing advanced AI.
Hexa's leadership views this as a fundamental shift. Co-founder and CEO Thibaud Elzière stated the move is "not about adding a feature" but about "rethinking the entire process of creating and scaling companies with AI as a foundational layer." The goal is to reduce the time and capital required to build a company while increasing the potential scale and ambition of new ventures.
This move signals a growing trend of institutional venture builders formally aligning with leading AI infrastructure providers. For Hexa, which has launched over 70 companies, the partnership provides privileged access to OpenAI's models and technical expertise. For OpenAI, it represents a strategic channel to embed its technology at the earliest stages of dozens of future European startups.
