Nordic Semiconductor has created a new strategic role combining marketing and developer experience, appointing Jo Uthus to lead the initiative. The Norwegian company, a specialist in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, aims to strengthen its ecosystem and accelerate the time-to-market for connected products through this focus.
The newly established position of Vice President of Developer Experience and Marketing reflects a strategic pivot. Nordic Semiconductor recognizes that simplifying the development process is critical for its customers, who are under pressure to bring IoT products to market faster. By improving tools, documentation, and support, the company seeks to reduce development cycles and foster greater loyalty within its developer community.
Jo Uthus, who previously held senior roles at ARM and Texas Instruments, will oversee this integrated function. His mandate is to ensure a seamless experience from the initial evaluation of Nordic's chips through to full-scale product deployment. The strategy involves deepening collaboration with software and hardware partners to create a more cohesive and supported ecosystem for developers building on Nordic's Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular IoT technologies.
