Axomove, a French healthtech startup specializing in remote rehabilitation monitoring, has closed a Series A funding round. The amount raised was not disclosed, but the company stated the funds will be used to accelerate the development of its digital platform, expand its commercial reach, and strengthen its team.
Founded in 2016, Axomove offers a connected solution that combines a wearable sensor and a mobile application to track patients' rehabilitation exercises outside clinical settings. The system provides real-time feedback to patients and transmits data to healthcare professionals, enabling them to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans remotely. The platform is designed for musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgery recovery, and chronic pain management.
The Series A round was led by a group of investors including Bpifrance, through its Digital Venture fund, and existing shareholders. The company had previously raised seed funding in 2018. Axomove's technology is already used in several French hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and the new capital will support its expansion into European markets.
The startup aims to address the growing demand for tele-rehabilitation solutions, driven by an aging population and the need to reduce healthcare costs. By enabling continuous monitoring outside hospitals, Axomove hopes to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden on healthcare systems. The company also plans to integrate artificial intelligence into its platform to enhance exercise analysis and personalization.
