CEA, Rossignol, and Lumiplan Develop First Battery-Free Connected Ski Device
A collaborative innovation project in the French Alps is developing the first battery-free connected device for skiing, aimed at improving technique, tracking practice time, helping select ideal skis, and making the sport more engaging. The partners—the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), ski manufacturer Rossignol, and tech firm Lumiplan—are designing the system to collect data that enriches the skiing experience without the need for onboard batteries, potentially enhancing performance analysis and equipment personalization.
