Seever Develops Consortium Blockchain for Secure, Compliant Health Data Sharing
French startup Seever is building a consortium-style blockchain platform designed specifically for sharing sensitive health data. The system is engineered to comply with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) while adhering to the principle of shared medical confidentiality.
To enhance privacy and scalability, the platform utilizes off-chain and side-chain storage solutions for data, keeping the most sensitive information off the main blockchain ledger.
Seever's first application will focus on tracking and sharing data related to Emerging Highly Resistant Bacteria (Bactéries Hautement Résistantes Emergentes). Looking ahead, the company aims to establish its platform as a foundational technical and legal framework, enabling third-party developers to build their own compliant healthcare applications on top of its blockchain infrastructure.
